Description
This is my first abstracted painting in the Cubism-style Picasso used. I had started with a normal kettle and separated it into a variety of different pieces. The different colored pieces make the background weave in and out of the main object (kettle) and vice versa. The background is an
abstracted view of the window I was looking out of with white clouds and tan hills. The tan, brick-like parts are from what I could see of the building outside. The orange strips on the right are an abstracted version of shelves in a shore house I stayed in last summer. The colors remind me of the summer beach when the sun is high and the ocean and sky seem to swirl together in harmony.
Almost forgot: painted w/ acrylic

Wow, this is gorgeous! Ususally I'm not one for abstract work, but the colors you've used are so brilliant and you pulled it off wonderfully. All of the colors go so well with one another and the contrast is awesome. I just love looking at this. Wonderful job!
